The Queens of Onslaught have walked the path of blood and fire until they have become one with the flame.
They have learned to repress the anger that threatens to overwhelm all of their kind, becoming masters of that rage. All demons of Onslaught train to utilize the thermal energy produced by their natural wrath and the Queens stand paramount amongst their species for their rare gift to channel that rage into an external force. The Queens can convert their anger into a literal conflagration. Some can breathe great gouts of flame, and cause their weapons to blaze with hellfire. Others have been known to ignite the air around them, or turn their blood into magma, making their skin glow with an unbearable heat.
To challenge a Queen of Onslaught, is to challenge a near-invincible inferno of destruction.
The Demons of Onslaught form a tribal society, with bands of demons roaming their territories in a semi-nomadic existence. They move not in search of fertile fields or safe havens but in order to find other tribes to challenge in battle. The tribes can only be united by the strength and ability possessed by a King or Queen of Onslaught. The Kings and Queens not only regularly fight one another in ritual combat, but must constantly vie against ambitious lesser demons wishing to usurp them. To refuse a challenge would be to lose all honor and standing within their society, so theirs is an existence of unending conflict. Kings and Queens of Onslaught are not born, they are made. They are the pinnacle of martial skill within their society, constantly honing their talent, and training to improve their physical strength and ability. Each one has risen through the ranks of their demonic kindred, harvesting essence from their defeated foes, and forging themselves into living weapons. Their power and skill is earned, not gifted, and they would have it no other way.
