Just as the lightning shatters the oak to leave a pillar of flame in its wake, Aventis Firestrike is not only the stormbolt, but its burning aftermath, His power over the magic of the realms comes from a glowing coal of anger deep within his chest, which his many acolytes say is the source of his famously foul temper. When the Shyish necroquake cascased across reality he convinced his kindred spirit, the Tauralon Loithar, to return with him to his homeland; since then Aventis has won such acclaim that Sigmar has sworn him the Magister of Hammerhal.

The wrath of the God-King. The Avenging Angel of Azyr. The Bearer of the World-Hammer. The First Scion of Sigmar – this is the Celestant-Prime. A great king and guardian of men even in mortal life, he has been strengthened by a prodigious infusion of Sigmar’s divine might; but even this power was not enough. Now wielding the Skull Splitter, the Great Shatterer Ghal Maraz, the Celestant-Prime’s fury roars across the battlefields of the realms as an overwhelming clarion call. The thunderous impact of Ghal Maraz can slay a daemon with one blow, setting the spirit within free to make its way to Azyr.

Castigators are powerful ranged support troops, commonly employed by the Lord-Arcananums of the Sacrosanct Chambers against those ethereal enemies that can kill with but a touch. The thunderhead greatbows they carry are miracles of Azyrite science and ingenuity, launching projectiles more akin to maces than mere bolts – stout shafts attached to braced heads filled with the storm-breath of Stardrakes. Not only capable of smashing barricades with their heft, these mighty missiles can discorporate the ethereal form of a diabolic creature in an instant.

The leaders of the Stormhosts, exceptionally gifted warriors who ride into battle in blazing fields of azure light, the Lord-Celestants are respected for their tenacity and battle skills even amongst the immortals. Gavriel Sureheart is a valiant champion of Sigmar’s Stormhosts, casting aside the enemies of Order with an imperious sweep of his starbound blade.

The herald of the Stormhosts, an avenging angel clutching a glittering starblade that can carve a swathe through the hardiest of foes, the Knight-Azyros wields another, far more potent weapon. He carries a celestial beacon, a lantern radiating the searing light of the heavens, a light that falls upon the forces of Chaos as a sea of torment far more painful than those twisted agonies the Dark Gods gleefully conceive. Wherever this light shines, so might Sigmar cast his divine bolts more easily – the Knight-Azyros is the tip of the spear, bringing glorious illumination to those places thought lost to infinite corruption.

Blazing with the glorious light of celestial energies, the banners of the Stormcast Eternals are carried proudly into battle by the Knights-Vexillor. A grand declaration of war in the highest regard, these banners proclaim the hatred of Chaos and the intent of Sigmar to reclaim the realms. A Knight-Vexillor can call upon the power of his standard to send forth blasts of hurricane-like tempests, or call down the very stars themselves to smite foes with blazing heat.
